The first Hello Kitty Grand Café in the U.S. will open in the Spectrum Center in Irvine, Calif.

The Café will offer a fast-casual section that is open to the public as well as reservation-only private rooms that offer afternoon tea and cocktail service programs. Menu offerings will build on the existing Hello Kitty Café menu, with mini hot donuts available in sugar, matcha and cookies n’ cream flavors; pick-your-own four-piece Sanrio character mini cakes; gold bow handles; a pink and rose gold sequined Chubby Bunny bow and; more.

Interior design details include white walls with Hello Kitty icons and unique artwork explicitly designed for the space.

The space will also include The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Café,  a hidden, reservation-only pink room that will offer cocktail service for guests 21 and over at night, and sell Hello Kitty-inspired cocktails.

The Hello Kitty Grand Café is set to open Sept. 14.

"Hello Kitty Cafe is an integral extension of the Hello Kitty brand as we continue to evolve and diversify our consumer touchpoints," says Craig Takiguchi, chief operating officer, Sanrio. "As the first brick-and-mortar cafe concept of its kind in the U.S., Hello Kitty Grand Cafe combines our signature fast-causal setting with an all-new immersive dining experience through our Afternoon Tea Service for guests of all ages and Cocktail Service that caters to our adult fans. We look forward to debuting the latest evolution of Hello Kitty Cafe as a new destination in Southern California."

Sanrio has partnered with Shoryu Ramen once again, for the fall-themed pop-up menu at three of its locations, inspired by Gudetama, the lazy egg.

The egg-centric menu offers a variety of flavors topped with a Gudetama-inspired egg, part of a three-course meal special. For dessert, diners can enjoy mochi ice cream served in a Gudetama-themed cup with a coaster that can be taken home.

Limited edition Shoryu x Gudetama merchandise, including a tote bag, A5 notebook, metal key ring and mug, will be available for purchase at Japan Centre Panton Street, Japan Center Picadilly Circus, Ichiba in Westfield London and online at JapanCenter.com.

Shoryu’s Instagram page is also hosting a competition that invites guests to take a selfie with Gudetama and post it on social media with the hashtag #ShoryuGudetama. The winner will receive a limited-edition Gudetama egg suitcase.
