“The Powerpuff Girls” made an appearance at the Liverpool M&S Bank Arena last weekend to celebrate the POW! Academy at The British Gymnastics Championships.

A joint venture between British Gymnastics and Cartoon Network, The POW! Academy was set up in 2018 to inspire and reward thousands of gymnasts across the country with the help of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.

Aimed at children ages 5 to 11, The POW! Academy challenges gymnasts to show off their talents by linking the skills they have learned in their gymnastics sessions with eight sequences. Upon completion of each sequence, gymnasts were rewarded with POW! Academy badges and certificates.

During the four-day event, children from the Beth Tweddle Gymnastics Academy performed POW! Academy routines in the main arena while a presenter shot POW! t-shirts out of a t-shirt cannon into the crowd, and “The Powerpuff Girls” hosted fan meet-and-greets. Co-branded POW! Academy product including t-shirts and hoodies were available for purchase on site, and fans can also head online to personalize a range of POW! Academy t-shirts, hoodies and water bottles on Cartoon Network By Me.
