Popcorn Digital will grow the channel’s original animation and branded content.
GLOBAL–Rovio Entertainment has appointed Popcorn Digital, a joint venture between Cake and Diagonal View, to manage branded content on the official Angry Birds YouTube channel.
Through the agreement, Popcorn Digital will implement plans to grow viewership and revenue of original animation and branded content. It will also aim to further expand the channel’s existing fan base.
Additionally, the YouTube channel is planning to debut a new series, titled “Angry Birds Blues,” which stars the Hatchlings. It will also debut the fourth installment of Rovio’s “Piggy Tales” series in 2018.
