NORTH AMERICA–Paramount Pictures has secured the movie rights to SEGA’s video game franchise “Sonic the Hedgehog,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

THR also reports that Paramount is planning to create a movie that will blend live action and CGI animation. However, details regarding the film’s plot have not been disclosed.
