Goliath, Happy Threads, Yottoy and more will release new and refreshed products for the character’s birthday.

NORTH AMERICA–The Copyrights Group has signed on a number of partners to debut new products in honor of Paddington’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

Bravado and Retail Monster, the brand’s licensing agents in the U.S. and Canada, brokered the deals.

New licensees for the classic character brand include Goliath for a board game; Happy Threads for apparel; Intimo for sleepwear; StartApp for digital stickers; Spirit Halloween for costumes; Rauch Industries for Christmas ornaments; and Rizzoli for a wall calendar.

A number of partners will also refresh their offerings to celebrate the character’s birthday. Global partner HarperCollins will also release a Paddington 2 movie tie-in titles alongside its classic publishing program.

Yottoy is also set to release a new line of infant toys and plush including chime balls, stacking toys, jack-in-the-box, a pull toy, stroller toy, a posable play set, a tin tea set and more.

Meanwhile, Card.com will launch a refreshed line of Paddington pre-paid debit cards; Paperless Post will release personalized stationery; Smilemakers is on board for new stickers; and Marmont Hill will launch a new range of posters.

Finally, the first-ever Paddington exhibition will debut in the U.S. this April at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Massachusetts. The exhibition, called “Paddington Comes to America,” will feature archive items, original illustrations, movie stills and “special items” lent from the Paddington. The exhibition will be available until early October.
