Rio Licensing has brokered an extension of its deal with Nordtex in Russia for Hello Kitty-branded household goods and home textiles.

The new two-year agreement will see the licensee expand its range of offerings featuring the character, with 10 SKUs to hit retailers in the region by 2015 including Magnit, Auchan, Hoff, Okey and Posuda Tsentr.

Nordtex has worked with the Hello Kitty brand since July 2012.

“Having had wonderful sales results, Nordtex has decided to prolong its Hello Kitty agreement,” says Oleg Kimyashov, chief executive officer, Rio Licensing. “The assortment was also supplemented with products for other target ages. Now there are products for kids ages 0 to 14. Active goods promotion and regular design updates played an important role in products success. The sales of Hello Kitty beddings by Nordtex keep on growing.”
