
Tove Jansson’s beloved characters inspire new television series, which will debut exclusively on Sky in the U.K. and Ireland in 2018.

Based on Tove Jansson’s classic novels and comic strips, “Moominvalley” will star Moomintroll, his family and friends, and will be centered around the Moominhouse and valley, an idyllic place entirely untouched by the modern world.
Furthermore, the new program will be directed by Steve Box (
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
) and produced by Gutsy Animations exclusively for Sky One and Sky Kids in the U.K. and Ireland. “Moominvalley” will air on Sky One, TV streaming service Now TV, the “Sky Kids” app and on demand on Sky in late 2018.
