Disney Consumer Products has tapped Coach for a limited edition collection of Mickey Mouse-inspired products.
The Disney x Coach collection will feature specially created sketches of Mickey by Disney animators and will include leather bags, t-shirts, sneakers and more. It will also include collectible pieces like oversize black leather Mickey dolls and beanbags.
“This collaboration brings together two iconic brands in fresh, yet timeless designs that celebrate the heritage and style of both Mickey and Coach,” says Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, DCP. “This incredible collection is sure to delight the fashion world and Disney fans alike.”
The collection is also part of a series of exclusive, limited edition projects that celebrate American pop culture, as well as commemorates Coach’s 75th anniversary.
“Mickey Mouse is one of my earliest memories of American pop–his nostalgic charm, cheekiness, individuality and inherent cool make for the ultimate American icon,” says Stuart Vevers, creative director, Coach. “I’ve always seen Mickey as a playful rebel at heart and a timeless symbol of joy and creativity. That spirit reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach.”
The Disney x Coach collection will launch exclusively at the Coach store in Soho, New York and at Colette in Paris. It will be released at Coach stores worldwide and online at Coach.com this Friday.
