Betty Boop:
Loungerie (intimates);
UP Import/ABR Art (fashion bags);
Forum (perfume and nail polish) ;
Clio (Backpacks) and
Tilibra's (Notebooks).
Popeye:
Brasterápica (children’s vitamins);
Pernambucanas (apparel);
Riachuelo (apparel);
Lojas Renner (apparel) and
Chico Rei (apparel);
Tilbra (notebooks) and
Ludi/Imaginarium (gifts).
“Vertical Licensing has done an outstanding job representing King Features’ brands in Brazil,” says Carla Silva, vice president and general manager, global head, licensing, King Features. “They’ve uncovered and secured untapped categories in their region and have reached a new generation of Betty Boop and Popeye fans, strengthening our brand presence in the territory.”
King Features’ new deals come during a celebratory time for the company. Popeye’s 90th birthday came in 2019, and Betty Boop will quickly follow with its own anniversary in 2020.
