King Features Debuts Popeye Art Pop-Up in China

The Joy City Mall will host a Popeye art exhibition with more than 100 pieces of works inspired by the cartoon sailor.

Medialink has inked a partnership between King Features and Yoho! to present a collection of Popeye creative works and artistic installations at the Joy City Mall in Beijing, China.

In celebration of Popeye’s 90th birthday, 50 artists from 12 countries around the world are participating in the Popeye exhibition. More than 100 pieces of Popeye-inspired creative works, including traditional and classic art, technology, collectibles and a vintage sailboat will be on display at the event.

The art exhibition continues King Features’ yearlong celebration for Popeye’s 90th birthday, which includes collaborations with Scotch & Soda and the launch of Popeye’s Barbershop & Shave Company.
