J&M Brands is on board to represent the classic character brand, and its spin-offs, for licensing. Meanwhile, Da Wakkere will serve as the exclusive licensee for the Kingdom of Fantasy brand.
EUROPE–Atlantyca Entertainment has tapped J&M Brands to represent the Geronimo Stilton brand and its character spin-offs for licensing in the Benelux region.
Through the representation agreement, J&M Brands will develop dedicated promotions as well as target consumer products categories including apparel, toy and back-to-school products.
Additionally, Atlantyca signed on Dutch publisher Da Wakkere Muis as the exclusive licensee for the Geronimo Stilton: Kingdom of Fantasy brand. Beginning this November, Da Wakkere will aim to secure a roster of kids merchandise and promotions spanning games and re-writeable activity cards, such as crosswords, mazes and more.
“Western Europe has turned into a key territory for our overall European licensing plans, this region hosts a variety of companies in food and textile categories with a multi-territory possibilities, offering an enormous amount of new product potential,” says Marco Piccinini, licensing manager, Atlantyca. “Over 4 million copies of the books have been sold to date and continues to grow in addition to the success of the animated series currently being broadcast, we see this has an ideal time to begin an expansive licensing program and are thrilled to be working with J&M Brands and Da Wakkere to begin our plans.”
