The classic Dutch character will grace a variety of apparel and plush items in the U.K. next year.

EUROPE–Mercis has teamed up with several licensees to debut new, baby-inspired products based on Dutch artist Dick Bruna’s classic character Miffy.

DRi Licensing, Miffy’s U.K. licensing agent, brokered the deals.

First, Dennicci has signed on to create a variety of new babywear lines, which will be released in spring 2018.

Childrenswear company Tobias and the Bear is on board to launch a range of Miffy apparel, which will also feature the retailer’s classic unisex handwriting, for children ages 0-6.

Finally, long-time plush partner Rainbow Designs is set to release two new collections in 2018. The first product assortment will include the launch of a range in classic Bruna book colors, including new striped and gingham styles. The second collection will follow later in the year in softer fashion colors.
