Bulls Licensing and Moomin Characters are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Moomin publishing brand this week at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in Italy.

Over the last seven decades the brand has produced more than a dozen novels and picture books and been translated into 49 languages. The brand now also boasts more than 500 licensees worldwide.

"Tove Jansson’s fantastic storytelling and artwork appeal to all ages," says Anna Lawrence, head of publishing, Bulls Licensing, which represents Moomin worldwide. "The Moomins are universal, philosophical and at the same time very comforting."
