British animation company Smallfilms and its licensing agent Coolabi have launched the first official licensed Bagpuss game app in partnership with game developer Daredevil Development.

The partnership was brokered by digital agency Peahen Games.

Aimed at children ages 3 and up, the new game app is a mixture of 16 educational, creative and action games and is available now on the Apple App Store, Amazon Kindle Store and Google Play.

The app also features graphics, animation, sound and music based on the original 13-episode TV series.

“‘Bagpuss’ was one of the high points of the very distinguished Smallfilms output and has remained one of the most fondly remembered of all Smallfilms shows,” says David Mowbray, principal, Daredevil Development. “The gentle humor and charming animation of this classic show lend themselves perfectly to an app that provides a mixture of educational, creative and action games that children will adore.”
