Video language platform and Rovio launch a new program for language learning.

Rovio Entertainment has partnered with Papagei.com, a video language platform, to provide English language learners interactive video courses led by characters from the “Angry Birds” universe.

The video content is based on the animated series “Angry Birds Toons” and is tailored to children age 8 and above. Users will watch videos with bilingual subtitles and participate in matching exercises on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.

The video content is now available in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and Poland.

Additionally, the “Angry Birds” courses in Germany will also offer the chance to learn German in an Arabic-language environment to help refugee children and young people learn the language of their new home.

“Engaging with the imagination is a key to learning, and ‘Angry Birds’ is a great property for doing just that,” says Alex Lambeek, chief commercial officer, Rovio. “The partnership with papagei.com brings us together with a great digital brand, and we are delighted to be able to help support the aspirations of young language learners.”
