The new storytelling program will allow users to choose their own adventure with Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang.
NORTH AMERICA–Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in partnership with Rain, has unveiled an immersive, voice-enabled, storytelling program called “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Theater” for Alexa-enabled devices.
The new program, called a “skill” within the Alexa platform, will allow kids and families to follow and work alongside Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma to unravel the secrets behind their latest escapade at the Mayhew Mansion by simply saying “Alexa, open Scooby-Doo.” Throughout the story, the narrator will ask what the characters should do next–such as “go down the hallway” or “stay outside”–and it is up to listeners at home to make the choice.
“We’re proud to bring ‘Scooby-Doo’ to life in a new way that pushes boundaries of how people are interacting with voice technology today,” says Maryellen Zarakas, senior vice president, franchise management and marketing, WBCP. “We’re providing a new ‘family night in’ tradition that encourages kids and families to engage and fuel their imaginations as they embark on an interactive mystery-adventure with the Scooby Gang.”
The “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Theater” skill is now available on Alexa-enabled devices, including the Echo and Echo Dot.
