The Marlon Brando estate has signed with Greenlight to represent the actor’s brand rights.

Greenlight will be responsible for Brando’s licensed products, advertising, marketing campaigns and endorsements. The agency will look to establish licensing deals in the spirits and apparel verticals.

“Greenlight represents the top caliber of celebrities –those who are worthy of being called ‘icons,’ and Marlon Brando certainly fits that bill,” says Tamra Knepfer, senior vice president, Greenlight. “With the timeless appeal of Brando furthered by the legendary status of many of the movies he starred in, the Brando name represents style, originality, and an adventurous spirit, which are relevant across a wide range of products including wine and spirits, apparel, and accessories.”

The Brando brand’s past licensing deals include Renault Auto in the U.K. and Liu Jo Jeans in Italy.
