The famous U.K. train station will fete its sesquicentennial year with gifts, apparel, prints and more.

EUROPE–The U.K. railway station St. Pancras International is gearing up to celebrate its 150th anniversary next year with a pop-up retail store.

The train station’s anniversary program kicked off this year with online retailer Internova, which created an online store (Shop.StPancras.com) featuring a host of prints, ceramics and apparel.

“The 150th anniversary celebration will generate an unprecedented amount of attention for this much-loved architectural landmark and we are thrilled to have played our part in managing the creation of the anniversary product ranges and launch of the station’s own retail outlets,” says Adam Bass, director, Golden Goose, which manages the St. Pancras licensing program.

In addition, Event Merchandising will open a new, 15-square-meter pop-up store in the middle of the station’s concourse throughout 2018. The pop-up is expected to open ahead of Christmas and will feature a variety of apparel and commemorative St. Pancras-branded gifts.

“We are very excited about the launch of our pop-up retail outlet,” says Wendy Spinks, commercial director, HS1, the company that operates, manages and maintains St. Pancras. “Our plans for celebrating in 2018 are well underway and we’re looking forward to seeing our anniversary store flourish, because as the nation’s favorite railway station, we know there is a demand from our visitors from St. Pancras International products.”
