National Geographic has partnered with the South African Mint to release limited edition sets of legal tender coins that will benefit the Big Cats Initiative, an effort that aims to halt the decline of big cats in the wild.

The National Geographic Big Cats Coin Collection will feature four cheetah designs on its coin face and will be struck in 99.9 percent pure gold.

The new coin sets from the South African Mint are available now.
