Smithsonian Enterprises has partnered with Sun-Mate for a branded toy line based on the museum’s collection of more than 137 million items.

The new line will include role play and exploration sets, doctor and veterinary play sets, electronic toys, room décor and night lights.

“We are thrilled to launch a fun, educational toy line for the Smithsonian,” says Rami Ben-Moshe, president, Sun-Mate. “Each toy SKU will be inspired by something in the Smithsonian. The goal is to use the treasures from the Smithsonian’s vast holdings as inspiration and include inserts in each package to tell the stories and help educate children.”

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all Smithsonian licensed products supports the institution’s educational work.

“The Smithsonian strives to bring museum experiences home through all of its products,” says Carol LeBlanc, senior vice president, consumer products and education, Smithsonian Enterprises, the museum’s business division. “These new role play toys from Sun-Mate will be a fun and imaginative way to connect kids to the research, work and discoveries done here at the Smithsonian.”
