Sealy Corporation has signed licensing agreements with two companies for basic bedding accessories. Downlite has signed on to create down- and synthetic-filled bedding including pillows, blankets and comforters under Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic and Stearns & Foster brands. American Textile Company will produce mattress and pillow protectors for the same brands. “These two dynamic organizations are forward-thinking, which is consistent with our strategy to grow through licensing and other strategic partnerships,” says Lawrence J. Rogers, president and chief executive officer, Sealy. The new lines will hit retail in early 2013.
