Oxford's licensing agent for the U.K. and Europe, Performance Brands, brokered the deal.

Oxford has partnered with the U.K.-based Smith & Fellows, which specializes in wall coverings inspired by archival and historic designs. The five-year, multi-territory deal will see collections of Oxford patterns, sourced from a number of University archives and libraries, available across a number of territories including the U.A.E. and China.

This fall will see new product introductions to Oxford’s furniture range by Timothy Oulton including a test tube chandelier, a butterfly specimen table inspired by the entomological displays in the University’s Museum of Natural History and a modern chair in brushed steel and colorful leather. Table lamps and floor lamps, available in boating stripe or tartan, will also feature in the new Oxford catalog.

“Source material such as pattern, photography

and illustration are key assets for home décor and furnishing partners, and Oxford has plenty for licensees to choose from,” says Chris Evans, managing director, Oxford Limited.
