MINI Collaborates with Pokémon as New Sponsor of Gamescom Merch Area

MINI will exclusively present its Aceman Concept car with Pokémon Mode at the games event in Cologne this weekend.

MINI is the new main sponsor of the Gamescom merch area and official mobility partner for the games event, taking place in Cologne, Germany, now through Aug. 28.

, MINI will showcase the MINI Aceman concept electric car equipped with an exclusive Pokémon Mode at the gaming event. In the mode, either Pokémon Pikachu or Poké Ball takes over the OLED display as the new central instrument when operating the Experience Mode toggle. The animation extends across the dashboard, front doors and apron projection through advanced projection technology. Gamification will play an increasingly important role in MINI’s distinctive design in the future, offering customers a unique experience.

The MINI Aceman Concept Action Pack – wrapped in the typical clear box packaging – will become a collectible for fans. Parallel to the premiere of the MINI Aceman Concept at Gamescom, the company is launching the MINIverse, creating a digital world in which the MINI community can playfully
