KissCam has announced that they have recently been granted a U.S. patent for their proprietary “KissCam Contests,” turning the traditional KissCam live segment at sports arenas into a fully integrated methodology designed to allow spectators at the venue or watching streaming content to enter KissCam Contests to win prizes and order customized print-on-demand merchandise. The deal was inked by The Brand Liaison.

“Everyone loves the KissCam,” says Steven Heller, president, The Brand Liaison. "This is such a well know brand in the sports and entertainment arena, and over 1.5 billion views on TikTok, that will translate so well into so many consumer products, collaborations and location-based entertainment opportunities. We see significant opportunities to expand the KissCam into so many products and collaborations consistent with the KissCam brand to spread love and kisses.”

KissCam is known around the globe for video segments in the sports and entertainment arenas along with more than 1.5 billion views on TikTok.

“Expanding the KissCam brand outside of the stadiums has always been a focus of ours,” says Dana Veitch, founder and chief executive officer, KissCam. “Many organizations are unaware that KissCam is a trademarked brand, requiring permission for use or inclusion in their marketing and promotional campaigns. Now, with our new patent and international app, and our new focus on licensing, we can do just that.”

Building on the KissCam brand, the patented KissCam Contests provide for data collection, globally communication and can feature digital still and video images of sports and events, including augmented reality images, from entertainment and venues. An electronically geofenced perimeter of the event enables spectators to electronically submit digital images as candidates for entry into a voting stage of a KissCam Contest.

The KissCam Contest mobile app was initially developed for use during sporting events in a venue. Since then, KissCam’s patented technology has been expanded to a web-based app that can be used for any live or virtual event around the world.

“We’ve expanded our KissCam Contests and licensing agreements so that organizations can use the powerful and highly recognizable KissCam brand as part of their marketing outreach,” says Veitch. “Now, the KissCam brand is being offered for licensing and collaborations for virtually any licensing product category that is seeking to tap into the experience you feel after a camera has scanned a crowd and selects that special couple for an on-camera kiss!“
