Construction equipment manufacturer JCB has partnered with a number of family destinations across the U.K. for a range of JCB Kids experiential activities as the brand celebrates its 70th anniversary.

Easter signaled the launch of the first-ever Irish JCB Young Drivers Zone at Junction One International Shopping Outlet in Antrim, Northern Ireland. The zone features 50 ride-on JCB vehicles for 2- to 8-year-olds with a specially designed 6,000-square-foot track.

JCB Kids has also partnered with the National Forest Adventure Farm Park in the Midlands (Ireland) to create a 10-acre JCB Maize Maze that will be open from July 11 to Sept. 6. The maze features three miles of pathways, bridges and viewing towers centered around a massive JCB Excavator. Throughout the summer, the Midlands park will also feature JCB-themed activities and is developing a new, permanent JCB Big Dig Zone.

Finally, the Ice Cream Factory (formerly the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm) will be opening a new Scoop attraction that will integrate real JCB mini-excavators that dig up giant scoops of ice cream.

Additionally, JCB is continuing its themed partnerships with the four Diggerland theme parks based around the U.K.

“2015 was always going to be a big year for JCB," says Sam Johnson, senior licensing manager, JCB Consumer Products. "We celebrate our official 70th birthday on Oct. 23 and I am thrilled that, through these partnerships, we are giving children and their families more opportunities to engage with the JCB Kids brand at popular locations throughout the U.K.”
