The world’s largest museum’s archives and libraries will serve as inspiration for the retailer’s latest apparel collection.

NORTH AMERICA–The Smithsonian has tapped retailer J. Peterman to develop a collection of branded apparel.

Inspired by the “ultimate attic to explore,” J. Peterman will create a variety of items inspired by the historical resources found in the museum’s archives and libraries.

The Smithsonian Institute boasts over half a million miles of archival material and over 10 million digital records on American history and other subjects. The fashion collaboration is yet another progressive project for the historic center.
