Multi-year agreement will see IMG continue to represent the brand worldwide.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has renewed its licensing representation for its non-tire merchandise with IMG.

The multi-year deal will allow IMG to continue representing the brand on an exclusive worldwide basis, continuing a relationship that began in 2009.

“We are delighted to extend our relationship with Goodyear,” says Fabrice Faurie, vice president, licensing, IMG. “We have licensed the brand widely into new markets across the world and developed a program that respects its brand equity, heritage and values. We will continue to seek new and innovative opportunities for the brand, all while ensuring its core brand attributes are retained.”

The current Goodyear licensing program extends across categories such as accessories and hardware, urban lifestyle apparel and casual, sport and outdoor footwear.

“For a brand that is traditionally associated with tires and auto accessories, it is exciting that our cross-category program, through products that range from sweatshirts, jackets and winter boots to eyewear and watches, is increasing Goodyear’s licensed products international growth,” says Faurie. “Stay tuned for new brand extension in new categories in the coming years.”
