U.S. mail service will grow worldwide with toys, apparel, stationery and more.
The United States Postal Service has tapped Global Icons to serve as its exclusive worldwide licensing agent.
Global Icons will now work to support the USPS’ brand initiatives by increasing its exposure worldwide through various product collections.
The agency will initially focus on product categories such as era-specific mailboxes, stationery and mailing accessories. Afterwards, Global Icons will leverage the Postal Service’s catalogue of assets and imagery to bring it into categories including apparel and accessories, home décor, toys and games, digital/interactive and gifts and novelties.
“The Postal Service has over 240 years of history in connecting people and binding a nation with tremendous assets and content,” says Christopher Karpenko, executive director, brand marketing, USPS. “We’re excited to have Global Icons working with us to find the right opportunities where USPS can be positioned in ways to enhance the brand and positioning.”
