The Juilliard School in New York City and Connections Education have launched the first courses in their new Juilliard e-Learning program, in a new collaboration coordinated by Brandgenuity.

The Juilliard eLearning courses are designed to offer K-12 students and teachers everywhere high-quality, affordable training from one of the nation’s leading fine arts institutions.

Educators and e-learning experts from Connections Education collaborated with Juilliard specialists to develop the content of the online courses, the first four of which are now available.

The first online offerings focus on music with special curriculums designed specifically for students in kindergarten to second grade, third grade to fifth grade, middle school and high school.

In addition to these general music courses, Juilliard and Connections Educations are  also considering adding classes in music theory, music history, drama history, dance history, synchronous virtual music instruction and virtual “master classes” at a later date.

Each of the current courses features virtual music instruments, composition and recording capabilities and videos featuring The Juilliard School faculty and alumni, as well as student performers.

“Providing exemplary arts education programs to youth and the community has always been central to our mission at The Juilliard School, and it’s truly rewarding to witness first hand how Juilliard eLearning is enhancing our ability to fulfill this mission,” says said Joseph W. Polisi, president, The Juilliard School.
