This year, The Global Licensing Group has launched the Brand & Licensing Innovation Summits. Consisting of two annual events – one focusing on Europe (June 9-11) and another dedicated to U.S. brand licensing (Oct. 27-28) – this exclusive event spotlights retail, sustainability and consumer growth categories, forecasts major new trends and provides direct insights from some of the biggest brands in licensing.

With content curated by License Global, B&LIS 2021 will provide deep dives into the licensing industry and navigate the ever-changing retail, content and consumer landscape for attendees across brand ownership, licensees and retailers alike.

“We spent many hours talking to the industry before launching B&LIS, and our research confirmed there is a huge appetite for forward-looking content that highlights the innovations, insight and future trends that will drive the success of brands and businesses post-pandemic,” says Anna Knight, vice president, licensing, Informa Markets.

The Brand & Licensing Innovation Summits in Europe and the U.S. will complement the Global Licensing Group’s current trade show portfolio, including Licensing Expo in Las Vegas and Brand Licensing Europe in London.

“Our trade shows very much focus on deal-making, networking and trend spotting, whereas the newly launched B&LIS summits are a complementary thought-leadership opportunity for the industry to learn from and debate with experts inside and outside the world of licensing,” says Knight. “They will provide inspiring and exclusive content on future-looking actionable trends and enable delegates to navigate the changing licensing landscape better.”

The first B&LIS will focus on the European market and premiere as a virtual event. Each day will spotlight a different topic, with industry players from the LEGO Group, Microsoft Xbox, Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, Studiocanal, Perry Ellis, Hasbro, WarnerMedia, Chefclub and many more. Each day will conclude with virtual roundtables and networking events.

“We’re delighted to have such well-respected experts across retail, sustainability, consumer behavior and content trends joining us for the first B&LIS in June,” says Knight.
