Mentos x The Lobstars BLE Catwalk to Feature Philip Colbert’s Artwork

Perfetti van Melle Group has revealed that it has collaborated with artist Philip Colbert for its Mentos x The Lobstars catwalk slot at Brand Licensing Europe in September.

is back at London’s ExCeL from Sept. 20-22 and the theme this year is fashion, which will weave its way throughout the event. Centrally located will be a series of high-end product showcases on a central catwalk, which will feature 10 choreographed performances over the three days. 

“We will present an exciting collaboration with our brand Mentos and the internationally renowned artist Philip Colbert,” says Christine Cool, global licensing manager, Perfetti van Melle Group. “The Mentos x The Lobstars collection, is inspired by the mint brand and the collection of unique Lobster Portrait NFT’s that were recently released by the artist on Decentraland, covering 57 parcels.” 

The man behind the bespoke artwork is British contemporary pop artist Philip Colbert, who has created a global following for his cartoon lobster persona, his pop history paintings and the recent creation of the digital community known as “Lobstars”.

In this collection, his cartoon lobster characters

twist and toy around with Mentos in the three dimensional surrealist universe for which the artist is famous. From the shimmer of sequined pieces with shiny clutches, to skater dresses and bomber jackets with city totes or cool swimwear, it all fits in the Mentos x Lobstars community.

The result are twelve exciting outfits that will be showcased with a splash at the Food and Beverage catwalk at BLE on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 10 am.

"Mentos is one of those brand’s I grew up with, so their logo and product is deeply connected to my memory and nostalgia of growing up, always keeping things fresh."
