Trade shows such as Licensing Expo Virtual give us the opportunity to connect with new licensees, product categories, and retailers worldwide, which allows us to grow our brands globally.
Are there new developments that Epic Rights will share at the show this year?
Epic Rights has added new properties to our ever-expanding retail licensing roster such as Aerosmith, Cyndi Lauper, John Denver, Lionel Richie, Biz Markie and Flava Flav. As we continue to grow our presence in various genres, we reach more legions of music fans. We have also built our business in previously unexplored categories such as spirits, digital gaming and real-money wagering, health and beauty, fitness products, sporting goods, etc. Our global distribution is constantly broadening with our music merchandise being available in nearly 80 countries around the world, including emerging markets such as Latin America, Russia, Africa and the Middle East.
Are there any particular brands within your portfolio you will be highlighting this year amongst attendees?
All of our properties are iconic and evergreen in their own right, but four artists that have particularly exciting activity ahead are KISS, Aerosmith, David Bowie and Jerry Garcia.
KISS has reached new heights globally as the legendary band is returning to the stage for the rest of their highly anticipated End of the Road World Tour. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers have added more shows to their record-breaking tour kicking off August in the U.S.
2023 will mark the 50th anniversary of Aerosmith’s debut self-titled album that catapulted the band into fame. Until then, the rockers will be promoting various projects, releases, and gearing up for the launch of their European tour in June 2022.
Jan. 8, 2022 would have been music phenomenon David Bowie’s 75th birthday. To honor the superstar, there are several very exciting special events, product releases, and promotions planned.
Jerry Garcia, the legendary founding member, singer, songwriter and lead guitarist for the Grateful Dead, would have turned 80 on Aug. 1, 2022. The artist will also be commemorated with an array of memorable promotions and releases.
