Since 2018, Asmodee Entertainment has brought some of tabletop gaming’s most beloved names into new realms, from novels to collectibles, merchandise, location-based entertainment and its newest foray – comic books.

Playing a great game is like enjoying an amazing story and the Asmodee Group’s portfolio of more than 300 game brands includes many that are known for their rich universes, distinctive atmospheres and implicit sense of storytelling.

In 2018, Asmodee founded Asmodee Entertainment to bring the company’s diverse portfolio of brands into all categories across entertainment and media. Since then, it has announced dozens of partnerships with leading names in numerous categories and launched a fiction imprint, Aconyte Books, to bring great games to life from Asmodee’s portfolio and beyond, with novelization deals struck with content creators such as Marvel, Ubisoft, Fryx, CMON and Cephalofair.

Now, seven of Asmodee’s most iconic brands are set for the comic book treatment, with recently announced plans for graphic novels set in the universes of Twilight Imperium and Android under license to CMON plus further plans – newly announced at Licensing Expo – for a series of comic books based on tabletop favorites Pandemic, Legend of the Five Rings and Mysterium from Ox Eye Media and a children’s graphic novel based on the popular Spot It! game (known as Dobble in Europe) from Ablaze Publishing.

These deals reflect Asmodee Entertainment’s key mantra, that great games and amazing stories offer infinite possibilities, for which the visual storytelling medium of comic books and graphic novels is a perfect match.
