Evolution, a global brand management firm, has announced that it has been selected as the licensing and brand management agency in North America for the Morgan Creek portfolio of film and TV titles.

The announcement was made by Travis J. Rutherford, co-founder and chief revenue officer, Evolution.

“The Evolution team brings a breadth of talent and expertise in the film and TV vertical,” says Brian Robinson, managing director, Morgan Creek. “And we are very pleased to begin working with the entire team to develop natural extensions and exciting complementary programs for our roster, and most importantly, our fans.”

Key titles under the agreement include legendary classics such as the “Ace Ventura,” “Major League,” “The Exorcist” and “Young Guns” franchises, along with the “True Romance” and “Dead Ringers” films, among others.

“We are excited to infuse new life into these properties by developing unique products and experiences that engage, entertain and reward new and existing fans,”

says Rutherford. “The initial response from several U.S. licensees has been tremendous, and we see very meaningful opportunities across a wide variety of product categories and retailers. Our partners at Morgan Creek are investing in new creative assets for several of the titles. We will be developing a full-blown 30th-anniversary merchandising program for release in 2023 for the pop culture classic ‘True Romance,’ starring Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken and Samuel L. Jackson.”
