The Rolling Stones have ventured into the world of fine fragrances with the launch of RS No.9, a scent inspired by the band's rebellious spirit and cultural legacy. Developed in collaboration with Nirvana Brands and Bravado, the fragrance pays homage to the band's origins and timeless influence.

RS No.9 evokes the atmosphere of London's Soho in 1962, the year The Rolling Stones performed their first gig at the Marquee Club. The fragrance features a complex blend of bourbon, leather, musk, patchouli and oud, designed to capture the essence of the band's history and enduring appeal.

The fragrance bottle is inspired by The Rolling Stones' RS No.9 Carnaby store on London's famous Carnaby Street. The design includes graffiti-style song lyrics and the band's signature tongue-and-lip logo.

"It's the perfect fragrance for those who dare to be different, and we hope it will bring some joy to our fans," say The Rolling Stones in a joint statement.

After several years in development, RS No.9 was brought to life by Catherine Selig, a perfumer renowned for her ability to create complex and evocative scents.

"This was a dream project," says Selig. "I wanted to capture The Rolling Stones' timelessness – their inimitable style, rebellious spirit and the feeling of freedom their music still inspires. Every note represents a different facet of the Stones' legacy, from their soulful melodies to their on-stage unpredictability. This fragrance is a journey through their world, filled with richness, texture and bold contrasts."

"The Rolling Stones are ubiquitous in popular culture and their influence on personal style is all around us," says Ken Rushton, chief operating officer, Nirvana Brands. "So this project with the band and Bravado has been a delight. Bottling the essence of The Rolling Stones in a unique and bold fine fragrance has been an incredible journey - and there is a whole lot more in the pipeline to come."

"Creating this fragrance in partnership with Nirvana Brands has been such an exciting project for us as we continue to expand the RS No.9 brand," says David Boyne, managing director, Bravado. "We look forward to giving fans the chance to further deepen their love for The Rolling Stones."

Limited to 999 numbered bottles, RS No.9 is available in RS No.9 stores in London and Tokyo and online at Rsno9.com.
