Forsythe Cosmetic Group and its subsidiary Forsythe Licensing are planning a line of collegiate nail polish and nail art tattoos in a joint venture with Miss Fanatic.

The deal was developed by Forsythe's licensing agent, The Brand Liaison.

The licenses were granted by the Collegiate Licensing Company (an affiliate of IMG College), the Licensing Resource Group and a number of independent universities. The deal encompasses more than 70 universities and 20 sororities.

Forsythe will create and distribute collegiate-colored nail polish as well as nail art, face tattoos, manicure kits and other accessories to allow students and alumni to express themselves with “game day nails.”

“Forsythe has been a leader in nail polish distribution worldwide for 30 years,” says Steven Heller, president, The Brand Liaison. “But this is a very competitive space. So we knew we had to create a structure that would impress the collegiate decision makers. Obviously, we were successful.”

Forsythe’s Made in the U.S.A. collegiate nail products will be available at college bookstores, beauty supply and drug chains and other beauty retailers this fall.
