Esquire Launches Men’s Fragrance

Collaboration with Michael Malul is inspired by the publication’s heritage and future.

Esquire, the iconic men’s media brand, has announced the launch of four new fragrances in partnership with fragrance company, Michael Malul, in a collaboration facilitated by licensing agency, IMG.

The new fragrances (available in 100ml bottles) were developed around Esquire’s rich literary history and notable contributors, from F. Scott Fitzgerald and e. e. cummings to new journalism legends like Tom Wolfe and its many editors-in-chief. From this inspiration, the names of the four initial new scents were born: American Novelist, Modern Poet, New Journalist and Editor in Chief.

American Novelist is an ambery, warm fragrance with notes of bergamot, leather and cedar. Modern Poet is an herbal, green fragrance with notes of matcha, gin and patchouli. New Journalist is a blue, aquatic fragrance with notes of apple leaf, blue lavender and sandalwood. Covering the darker side of the fragrance wheel, Editor-in-Chief is bold and spicy with notes of clove, labdanum and tonka bean. More fragrances will be added to the collection over the next few years.
