British art and design museum the Victoria & Albert Museum has teamed with two new licensees for nail polish and home textiles.
Walker+Walker’s new beauty brand Exhibitionist makes its debut with the V&A Love & Romance collection of nail colors inspired by the V&A’s fashion exhibition “Wedding Dresses 1775–2014,” which showcases the most romantic, glamorous and extravagant wedding dresses from the museum’s collection.
The limited edition line of bespoke nail polishes includes six specially commissioned colors that capture the traditions and sentiments that surround a wedding–from the classic pearl, blush and violet hues of Halo, Love’s Young Dream and Serendipity, to the more vibrant shades of crimson, coral and purple in Unconventional, Wed in Red and Exotica. The bottles are inspired by apothecary jars in the V&A’s collection.
The Exhibitionist Love & Romance collection will be available at the V&A Shop for a limited time and is on sale now.
Additionally, new Sydney-based V&A licensee Sparkk is developing a range of digitally printed textiles and wall coverings based on the museum’s archives. The line will launch in August.
