TRU to Pilot 3D Printing Kiosks

Pittsburgh-based startup PieceMaker Technologies will debut its retail 3D printing kiosks at two Toys ‘R’ Us locations later this month.

Offering “a factory in the store," the PieceMaker kiosks will allow users to create custom products on demand, ranging from toys to wearables. The items, which cost about $10, will take less than 30 minutes to print in-store.

TRU locations in Cranberry Township, Penn., and Totowa, N.J., will debut the kiosks as part of the pilot program before Black Friday.
