ASIA–SmileyWorld has launched a new café pop-up concept at the Langham Place shopping center in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district, called the Smiley eGG Café.

Walton Brown, Smiley’s partner in the Asia-Pacific, brokered the deal.

The Smiley eGG Café features Smiley-themed food as well as themed activities–including a Smiley phone case and accessory customization station and a pancake printing area where visitors can turn their photos into food.

In addition, during the café’s launch event, there was a full range of Smiley home and kitchenware products.

“Food is one of the growth areas of our business today and it’s great that Walton Brown have helped to bring our café concept to life in one of Hong Kong’s leading destination retail environments. It also gives us a unique opportunity to showcase our home and kitchen concepts and licensees’ products, which is another area for growth for 2018,” says Nicolas Loufrani, chief executive officer, Smiley. “I’m really grateful for the work of Steve Wong and all the team at Walton Brown for making this happen and very pleased to have been here to see it for myself.”

The Smiley eGG Café will take place through June 2019.
