Santoro of London has announced a series of new deals for its art property Gorjuss.

The company has appointed Backstage Licensing as its agent in Italy where the brand is building momentum with a line of Gorjuss nightwear, underwear and accessories in Benetton stores.

"Having worked with Backstage in the past, we think they are the ideal partner for Santoro,” says Meera Santoro, creative and licensing director, Santoro. “We have absolute confidence in Backstage capitalizing on the considerable interest currently being generated by our Gorjuss collection in Italy."

Enesco joins the brand’s U.K. licensee roster with a line of collectible resin figurines, photo frames, decorative plates and tiles, snow globes and money banks.

"When we first saw Gorjuss products in retail shops we were intrigued by the charm of the characters and immediately thought that they would translate into beautiful, delicate figurines, and when we had the opportunity to talk to Santoro about licensing we had no hesitation,” says Wendy Addison, creative and licensing manager, Enesco. “We are confident that our interpretation of the art will meet with great approval from all Gorjuss consumers."

The Gorjuss range from Enesco will debut early next year.

Other new partnerships for the Gorjuss brand include a line of back-to-school exercise books from Mar-Mar d.o.o. in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro; Alta Karta–Mikedis will distribute the brand’s gifts and stationery in Greece; and French licensee Pictura has released a new range of 2014 calendars.
