Emoji Inspires Italian Meat Company

Maurizio Distefano Licensing taps Grandi Salumifici Italini to feature the emoticon brand on packaging and on iron-on transfers.

EUROPE–The Emoji Company has partnered with Grandi Salumifici Italiani, a maker of deli meats and fresh ready meals, to feature Emoji-branded packaging on the company’s Casa Modena-branded Teneroni.

Maurizio Distefano Licensing, Emoji’s licensing agent in Italy, brokered the deal.

In addition to themed packaging, each packet of Teneroni will contain an iron-on transfer that will allow fans to “wear” an emoji icon.

The Casa Modena Teneroni with Emoji iron-ons are now available in hypermarkets, supermarkets and retail stores throughout Italy.
