Wolverine World Wide recently promoted James Zwiers to president of the casual and work footwear manufacturer's outdoor group.

Zwiers will oversee the outdoor division's brands, including Merrell, Chaco and Patagonia Footwear. He joined Wolverine World Wide in 1998, where he most recently served as senior vice president and was responsible for retail and business development.

"Today, we are committing additional dedicated resources to the outdoor group and Merrell, in particular, to accelerate growth, increase our focus on the consumer, and provide a broader platform for the development of the Patagonia Footwear and Chaco opportunities," says Blake Krueger, chief executive officer and president of Wolverine Word Wide.

The company is also the exclusive licensee for brands such as CAT, Harley-Davidson and Patagonia.
