Zodiak Kids signed consumer products and broadcast deals around the world for its properties Mister Maker, Little Princess and Escape from Scorpion Island.
For the CBeebies arts and crafts show "Mister Maker," Zodiak Kids signed The Christy Group for kid’s dress-up range for launch this holiday season. Carte Blanche acquired the rights to develop Mister Maker children’s greetings cards for sale this fall.
Exim Peru, one of Zodiak Kids’ international agents, is planning a complete line of arts and crafts sets with Hipermercados Tottus in Peru, which will include stationery sets, back packs and lunch boxes. Mister Maker launched in Latin America in 2008 with further licensees soon to be announced due the popular demand for the brand in the territory.
In Israel, appointed licensing agent Hop, inked a deal with Event Pro to produce a Mister Maker mall tour across multiple sites in Israel. In Singapore, Empire, Zodiak Kids’ appointed agent in Asia, signed a deal with EEO/Pen2Stage to set up Mister Maker branded activity areas in shopping malls in Singapore.
Zodiak also announced that CBeebies’ new Nordic feed has picked up season 1 and 2 of the original Mister Maker series, and that CBeebies Poland, Asia, India and Africa have acquired series 1 and 2 of the spin-off series Mister Maker Comes to Town.
For Little Princess, Zodiak Rights signed Aurora World U.K. to develop a plush range for launch next year. This summer Neon Play will launch the first Little Princess app for iPad, iPhone and Android platforms. Zodiak Kids renewed its magazine publishing deal with Kennedy Publishing.
Zodiak Kids also renewed Panini’s deal to produce Little Princess calendars in Germany and include dedicated Little Princess pages within its compilation magazines published in France and Germany. Zodiak Kids has appointed licensing agent Empire to represent the brand in Asia across all categories excluding publishing and DVD. Merchantwise is the appointed licensing partner in Australia and New Zealand.
For its adventure game show "Escape from Scorpion Island," Zodiak Kids also announced sales deals with Disney XD channels, produced by U.K. production company The Foundation (part of Zodiak Kids). Disney XD France, Spain, Central Eastern Europe (CEE), Middle East, and Nordics have all acquired series 2 and 3 of the kids’ game show, while Disney XD Italy and Japan have acquired series 2.
