Nokia, TalkbackThames Digital, Syco Entertainment and ITV have confirmed that The X Factor 2010 exclusive app is available to download from the Ovi Store today.

The X Factor app, a first for the show, will provide the latest information on the series with a range of content, including news, backstage gossip and stories from the show; exclusive video content and a photo gallery of the acts and judges; editors' picks and competition opportunities to win The X Factor prizes.

"The X Factor app is a great new way for fans to connect and engage with the show," says John Nichols, marketing director of Nokia U.K. "Working with TalkbackThames Digital and ITV, we will be providing some amazing content and information about the show, giving users instant access to the nation's favorite TV series and its stars on the go."

In other news, Gear4, the U.K.'s leading audio brand, has entered an exclusive partnership with karaoke company Lucky Voice and FremantleMedia Enterprises to produce and distribute the

limited-edition The X Factor Party Box. The deal includes access to Lucky Voice's online karaoke player for The X Factor. The X Factor Party Box has access to more than 7,500 songs.

"The X Factor Party Box aims to bring The X Factor show alive in people's living rooms across the country, offering them the chance to feel like a star—without having to face the wrath of Simon Cowell," says Tom Dudderidge, founder of Gear4.
