Skycrest Ventures and Goldring Strategies have been appointed to develop Wonderland Bakery into a national kids' brand through a merchandising program, as well as continued retail expansion. The initiative follows on the heels of the newly opened Wonderland Bakery flagship at The Grove in Los Angeles.

The plan also includes the development of various entertainment properties, based on Wonderland Bakery, which was founded in 2005 in Newport Beach, Calif., by pastry chef Allyson Ames. The bakery specializes in cupcakes, cookies, cakes, desserts and whimsical gifts.

"Other kids' brands in the market don't have the same organic authenticity of Wonderland Bakery, with its inspiring real-life story of a young girl's dream being built from scratch into a nationally-recognized brand," says Fred Goldring of Goldring Strategies. "We are excited about the opportunity to work with founders Allyson Ames and Sondra Ames and the rest of our incredible team to exponentially grow and develop this new grassroots kids' and family brand, something that just can't be easily manufactured by a big toy or food company. We are very confident that Wonderland Bakery will readily translate into a loyal fanbase on a national and international scale."
