Macy's Parades Its Stuff in New Series
Viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on at Macy's in a new WE TV series called Unwrapping Macy's. The first of eight episodes premieres September 30 (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) with cameras following real-life employees at Macy's flagship store at Herald Square in New York City and at stores across the country. In the premiere episode, viewers see how fashions and accessories are selected by following Macy's East Coast fashion directors and buyers. Also, follow the store's creative team through the photographing and design of a men's activewear catalog. The series culminates with shows dedicated to the planning and problem solving required in executing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and SantaLand experience.

Cartoon Network Inks Deals for Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls
Cartoon Network Enterprises signed two new licensing agreements with SGFootwear and ODM for Ben 10. SGFootwear will create a footwear line from athletics to flip-flops due at retail in spring 2007. ODM (Olaes Design and Marketing) will develop T-shirts and sweatshirts for mid-tier and department stores this fall. In other news, the company partnered with Mighty Fine on a multi-year deal to develop a line of Powerpuff Girls knit tops, T-shirts, and fleece tops for the junior and 'tween markets. The line (suggested retails, $25 to $50) will be sold at specialty and boutique stores, as well as upscale department stores beginning this fall.

Lunar Jim Lands at Zellers
Alliance Atlantis International Content Distribution and Hudson's Bay Co. are bringing Lunar Jim to kids via a multitiered partnership. The children's property is being featured in the Lunar Jim Moon Meal at 240 Zellers restaurants across Canada until mid-October. In September, Lunar Jim will travel across Canada to have breakfast with children at select Zellers restaurant locations. An advertising promotion also will run across 12 Alliance Atlantis networks over a five-week period.

MGA and Zapf Creation Ink Long-Term Deal
MGA Entertainment and Zapf Creation AG agreed upon a 10-year joint sales venture. As part of the deal, MGA will be granted exclusive sales rights for Zapf Creation products in the North and South American markets. In exchange, MGA will use Zapf Creation's sales channels to sell its products in major Continental European markets. Zapf Creation also will be able to use MGA Entertainment Inc. for its brands in the non-toy sector to expand its product range and target groups. MGA Entertainment and related parties hold approximately a 20 percent stake in Zapf Creation share capital.

Classic Media Hosts Monster of a Sweepstakes
To celebrate the U.S. release of Gojira, the original 1954, uncut Japanese Godzilla movie, Classic Media kicks off the Return to the King of the Monsters Hometown Sweepstakes. Fans can log onto to enter to win one of more than 250 prizes. One grand prizewinner will receive an 8-day, 7-night vacation to Tokyo, Japan, for two, including travel and first-class accommodations. Classic Media also will give away one Sony PSP per day for the duration of the sweepstakes, running through September 16, 2006. Additional prizes include 50 Gojira/Godzilla: King of the Monsters DVD sets and 200 limited-edition Gojira DVD movie posters.

Danger Rangers Airs on Satellite Radio
Educational Adventures and XM Satellite Radio teamed up for the broadcast of Danger Rangers Play It Safe, an ongoing series of one-minute features aimed at preventing accidental injuries. The Danger Rangers Play It Safe safety tip messages air on XM's channel dedicated to children's programming, XMKiDS (XM channel 116). The episodes also will feature a Danger Rangers original song underscoring each specific theme.
