Classic Media Readies Classic DVD Classic Media warms audiences this winter with The Legend of Frosty theSnowman, complete with a marketing, promotional, and advertising program. Instores October 18, the DVD (suggested retail, $21.98) will be supported byconsumer brands including Frito Lay, LifeSavers, Keebler, and Renuzit inaddition to retail-specific programs at several mass, grocery, drug, andconvenience stores. A television, print, and radio campaign, as well as anonline component, also is planned. Commonwealth Toys to Support Jakers! Commonwealth Toys is on board to support Jakers! The Adventures of PiggleyWinks as master toy licensee. First products based on the PBS Kids series willinclude plush and beanies of the main characters in addition to windup toys,figurines, playsets, environments, key chains, and banks due in summer 2006.Licensing agent United Media will continue to build the Jakers! licensingprogram, targeting additional key categories such as social expression,apparel, and advertising/promotions. Tattoo Shop Inspires Jeans Maker Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co. inked a deal with designer jean maker MiaBrazilia to manufacture a line of jeans under the Hart & Huntington TattooCo. moniker. The name, which originates from the tattoo shop located in thePalms Casino in Las Vegas, has gained notoriety due in large part to the shop?scentral role in the A&E TV series, Inked. Hart & Huntington?s tattooartists will be given the exclusive opportunity to design custom, one-off jeansfor sale to the public. DreamWorks Signs Deal with Kellogg DreamWorks Animation SKG and Kellogg Co. entered into a multi-picture,multi-year worldwide promotional partnership to support DreamWorks Animation?sfeature films and home video products. The first-ever deal between the duoprovides Kellogg with exclusive worldwide rights to DreamWorks Animation?s filmproperties for the ready-to-eat cereals, toaster pastries, cereal bars, andfruit-flavored snacks categories and exclusive U.S. rights for frozen waffles,pancakes, cookies, and crackers. DVD Release Supported at Loews Theaters WGBH Boston Video teamed with Loews Theaters to promote its new preschool DVDrelease, The Shushybye Dream Band Live on Tour.
