MV Sports will produce a line of wheeled toys and scooters; Rubies is producing a dress-up line for adults and children based upon the iconic Thundercats characters; Character World will produce branded bedding; and Panini will publish the first ThunderCats magazine.

These new partners join Bandai, which unveiled its electrifying new toy line at Toy Fair in New York, London and Nuremburg. The line will hit stores in time for the holiday shopping season.

The new "ThunderCats" animated series will air exclusively on Cartoon Network in the U.K. this August. The series marks a creative collaboration between Warner Bros. Animation and Japan’s Studio4°C and is a 21st century re-imagining of the 1980s series.

“We’re all incredibly excited about the return of 'ThunderCats' and we are looking forward to reinventing though carefully respecting the heritage of this classic 80s brand,” says Paul Bufton, general manager

of Warner Bros. Consumer Products U.K. “There is an overwhelming amount of affection for ThunderCats amongst parents who grew up watching the show, this means that the program will benefit greatly from parental and nostalgic endorsement. With our licensee partnerships shaping up and amazing retailer feedback, there is every reason to believe that ThunderCats could return to become one of the hottest boy brands of recent times.”
