Walmart, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment have teamed up to roll out the red carpet for The Amazing Spider-Man, in theaters July 3.

More than 1,000 The Amazing Spider-Man licensed products are now available in Walmart stores across the U.S. including action figures, t-shirts, video games, costumes and home decor.

In addition, the partnership will bring fans special events and exclusive offerings, including:

  • Never-before-seen movie footage: Walmart will unveil a never-before-seen scene from The Amazing Spider-Man on its in-store broadcast network June 15 and June 16.

  • Spider-Man Truck Tour: The Amazing Spider-Man Secrets Unmasked Tour will visit approximately 1,000 Walmart stores, giving customers an advanced demo of The Amazing Spider-Man video game and Spider-Man Bonkazonks from Hasbro.

  • Sneak-peek comic book pack: In addition to a collectible reproduction of a classic Spider-Man comic, this exclusive combo pack will include behind-the-scenes footage from The Amazing Spider-Man, a never-before-seen scene from the film, a first look at the Activision Spider-Man video game and a bonus augmented reality (AR) activation.

  • "Web-Slinger" Augmented Reality App: The "Web-Slinger" AR mobile app available at the iTunes App Store or Android Market starting June 15, enables customers to take photos with a life-size Spider-Man and unlock levels and weapons at multiple stores within the store starting June 26.

"Our goal is to always enhance the moviegoers' experience and provide unique and innovative ways to interact with our superheroes," says Mark Rhodes, senior vice president of North American retail development, Marvel Entertainment. "This multi-faceted program with Walmart in support of The Amazing Spider-Man does just that by offering fans an array of merchandise, interactive in-store elements and exclusive, never-before-seen content."
